The mobile web is rapidly growing 8 times faster than desktop web did in the 90's.
Smartphone activation rates have tripled every minute -- more than there are babies being born.

There's no doubt that during the past 2 years, mobile payments have soared, and 2 recent announcement by the big guns in the market show just how much further we can expect mobile sales to increase.
PayPal mobile payments have exploded from $1 Million in 2006 to $4 Billion in 2011, and they're predicting that 2012 will see in excess of $7 Billion in transactions in 2012. This 4000% increase surprised even them, and they have been adjusting their predictions upwards as time passes by.

Subway taps into contactless payments
Restaurant franchise Subway is strengthening its position in the mobile space via a new initiative that will let consumers pay for their meal by tapping a MasterCard PassPass-enabled device or card at the register.
